About 1^st Embsay and Eastby Scouts

At 1st Embsay and Eastby Scouts, we help young people gain skills for life and have fun along the way!

We currently provide opportunities for young people aged 4 to 14 through our Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections.

Based in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, our programme takes advantage of the countryside around us, with outdoor activities such as trail following, camp cooking, den building and night hiking all taking place close to our meeting place. Indoor activities are many and varied, including everything from First Aid and navigation to baking and crafts. We also learn about our local area with visits to the Fell Rescue, the Fire Station and local farms and allotments. There’s something different every week!

Our Scouts of all ages enjoy the opportunity to make friends, develop teamwork, confidence and leadership skills, and to help others in their community.
